Regardless of what career you want to pursue, the applied problem-solving and presentation experience gained in JED projects will prepare you for it. Just getting introduced to consulting? Don’t worry! Before beginning work on projects, new consultants undergo a week-long training program then continue to receive 1-on-1 mentorship and regular feedback once projects begin.
We know our culture of development works: out of 14 graduates in JED’s 2021-22 class, 7 accepted full-time roles at McKinsey, Bain or BCG (typical acceptance rate: 1%). A Week-In-The-Life Of A JED Junior Consultant!

Together with another Consultant, you finalize research on your client’s competitors. You notice one offers an innovative new product, so you build a slide highlighting its features. Once done, you text your Engagement Manager asking for feedback.
You get together with your 6-person team for your weekly on-campus meeting. For 45 minutes, your Project Manager facilitates the discussion over what questions to include in the survey you’ll be launching later this week. Once finalized, you walk through the survey yourself and determine it’s pretty darn good.
You meet with the rest of the JED dodgeball team to play an intramural game. Everyone is rocking red t-shirts and drinking Guru Energy, courtesy of JED’s official energy drink partner. You catch up with the team so much you forget about the score.
Each Thursday, your Engagement and Project Manager meet with the client to provide project updates. This week, you’ll be joining the call to take notes and present the slide you made on Monday.
It’s time to unwind at JED’s semesterly retreat! With the rest of the club, you drive to a cottage in Mont Tremblant for the weekend. The chalet is free, the food is free, the beverages are free. Unfortunately, the bet you made (and lost) playing pong isn’t.
